  • Use the WAXP deposit section to find a personal MEMO
  • Send WAXP to the fraudulent wallet address: award.waxio
  • Include the unique MEMO
  • Start with a small amount to “stay safe”

🎭 How the Scam Works – Step-by-Step

  1. Initial Bait:
    The user is invited to send coins to a wallet like award.waxio, under the pretense of a promotional offer where they will receive their original funds plus a 1% bonus.
  2. Illusion of Legitimacy:
    A second wallet, usually base.waxio, sends 1% of the user’s transaction to award.waxio. This is meant to make it look like the system is automated and trustworthy.
  3. Hooking the Victim:
    After a few successful transactions where users receive their funds back with the promised bonus, they start trusting the system and send larger amounts.
  4. Rug Pull:
    At a random point—1st, 2nd, or 10th transaction—the system stops sending back the money. Instead, the full balance is sent directly to base.waxio, and the user receives nothing.
